APPLIED APPLIANCES

The refrigerator arrived three hours after Matt left for Memphis. He'll be there until after Thanksgiving. Amy is thrilled with the choices, even though there were a couple meltdowns in the process. The Fisher Paykel fridge is a counter depth bottom freezer. There is a small dent in the door that is in process of being replaced by the manufacturers. The product must arrive in perfect condition. Afterwards, I'll likely take a bat and a crowbar to the front to break it in a little. The stove--the sexy, sexy stove--is a 24" DeLonghi professional. The flames go high and I plan to burn many things with the high fire as I like to cook things fast. Burn some s*** up, I always say. The dishwasher is still in the box. A housewarming gift from my sweetest of sweet parents (hi, Mom!), it is an 18" GE Profile. Although "GE Fancy" is what I prefer to say. It's very cute, but I'm afraid to take it out of it's nest until the circus of putting together the cabinets begins. If my head explodes from a ding or a nick or scratch (there is already one on the new floor), then I won't have any head left. And I need my noggin' for making back some of the fortune we have just spent.

I'm also including a couple of pictures from Moving Night. Night-o-the-Devil is more like it. For those of you who've been to our house, you know we had a lot of stuff. I come by that honestly (hi, Dad.), and Matt contributes too. We sold some things, threw out some things and donated some things. I'm certain I no longer need In Style Magazines from 1999, Jada Pinkett Smith on the cover or not. The movers were great guys, charged us very, very little and only scratched my two wardrobes. Two scratches I can live with as they are hardly noticeable except to old Eagle Eye Higgins and Radar Watts.
